Nineteen of Medvedev's 21 championships have been achieved on hardcourt
A resurgent Medvedev won his initial championship for nearly 30 months with victory over opponent Moutet in the tournament title decider.
Medvedev, a ex- world number one, has had a torrid season, managing just a single victory at the big events and undergoing a difficult moment at the New York tournament.
His unpredictability on the tennis tour - and issues with his serving in particular - caused him dropping out of the elite rankings and finally parting ways with long-time trainer his previous coach.
Now working with Thomas Johansson and Goetzke, Medvedev has gradually progressed in the last few weeks - climaxing in a closely contested competitive win over Frenchman Corentin Moutet.
It is Medvedev's maiden trophy following the 2023 Rome Masters and initial on a hard surface after spring of 2023.
The win also signifies the Russian has secured 21 titles at twenty-one different tournaments.
"For the first time I'm at a tournament with my two daughters at once, so to win a championship is particularly special," commented world number 14 the champion.
"This title is in tribute of my second daughter Victoria, because the first title I won when my older daughter her name was born was for her."
The athlete, the former major winner, had lost his past six championship matches, including in that event in the past months.
The player's retrieving approach and recurring outbursts on the tennis court had prompted some to wonder if his capacity to play at the highest level was concluded.
However the player has altered his approach in recent weeks, attempting to come to the net and compete assertively, reinforced by an improved serving game.
Medvedev came back from a disadvantage in the initial set against the tricky Moutet, taking four of the last five exchanges to take the lead.
Both players swapped break points in the middle set before the challenger, attempting for his initial tour championship, took control to push for a decider.
The opponent rescued four initial chances in a competitive final set before Medvedev won the break to fifteen to secure the win.
Appropriately, he secured victory with a point at the front of the court, with the Frenchman failing to handle a volley after two hours and 38 minutes.
